2026 Registration Fees
Due to the cancellation of the 2025 races, those who were registered in 2025 will have an exclusive low registration fee from Oct 8 - Nov 30. Check your email for further details. Please note, to take advantage of the special low price, your first and last name, email, and DOB must match the information in RunSignup. Thank you for your loyalty!
Once the race fills, no additional registrations will be allowed.
Registrations are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and cannot be deferred. In the interest of fair play, racers who use someone else’s bib, and racers who give away their bib, face disqualification, fines, and restriction from future races.

Discounts
15K Heikki Lunta Youth/Young Adult Discount - racers up to age 22 can register at the youth discount for the 15K Heikki Lunta and will receive the racer gifts. Also eligible for awards.
5K Hauska Hiihto Fun Ski Youth Discount - Youth up to age 18 can register at the youth discount and will receive the racer gifts. Youth discount made possible by Ironwood Kiwanis and Ironwood/Hurley Rotary sponsorships.

All racers are invited to our free pasty lunch after the race.
All racers receive our 2026 Nordic hat designed by Kay Lum Designs, and made in Superior, Wisconsin by Promo Pros USA.
Everyone will also receive the 2026 SISU Ski Fest pin. Do you have all 16 of them?
New Reusable Cloth Bibs
Due to feedback in our last few racer surveys, SISU Ski Fest '26 features cloth bibs! Racers love the comfort and ease-of-use these bibs provide. To justify the additional cost, and to minimize the environmental impact of so many bibs ending up in the landfill, SISU will collect the bibs after the race to launder and reuse next year.
For an additional $20, you may purchase your bib as a keepsake. Note: bibs will not feature the date, since they will be reused for years to come.
Add-On Bib Purchase After Already Registered - If you didn’t elect to keep your bib when you registered, you may add it on to your registration. Sign in to runsignup.com, click on “Manage Registration,” then click on “Add-Ons” towards the bottom.
Wave Selection Process
Help Us Select Your Wave - During the on-line registration process you will be asked for additional information to help us assign your wave. Waves are intended for you to race against your true competition as well as to expedite a safe flow of racers throughout the race course.
30K SISU Freestyle Elite Wave Criteria -Top 50 from 2023 SISU, or expected finish time of under 1:45 with good conditions (3:30/K pace or faster). Routinely top 10% of the field at this distance. You could possibly win the race!
30K Elite Classic Elite Wave Criteria: - Top 50 from 2023 SISU, or expected finish time of under 2:25 (4:45/K pace or faster). Routinely top 30% of the field at this distance. You could possibly win the race!
All Elite racers will need to be approved by the race committee. If you were not in the 2023 SISU and meet the above criteria, please be sure to request consideration for the Elite Wave and help us out by stating why you belong in the Elite Wave on your registration.
Race Committee Approval - Wave assignments will be assigned prior to bib number assignment two weeks before race day, at which time you will be able to appeal if you desire a wave change. Final Wave placement is subject to verification and Race Director discretion.
